We are pleased to share one of our latest commercial canopy installations at Tweed Airport in New Haven, CT. In June of 2025, We created and installed a custom four‑season canopy above the ticketing queue area. This shed‑style canopy is 22 feet wide by 17 feet projection and 4 feet drop, providing travelers a rain‑free, shaded area regardless of weather. We handled all permitting and even added custom graphics to make the area pop.
To make sure the canopy stands up to year‑round use, we built it on a galvanized steel welded frame and covered it with Sattler 745 Evolution FR fabric in a modern Quite Gray. This Sattler awning fabric is fire‑resistant and tough enough for heavy use, yet still looks clean and professional. Our four‑season canopy keeps rain, snow, and sun off passengers, making those early‑morning lines much more comfortable.
We also added removable weather panels to the sides of the canopy. Each panel has its own galvanized steel frame, with Sattler 745 Evolution FR fabric stretched tight and fastened securely. When warmer months arrive, the panels come off in minutes, opening up the space for fresh air and easy access. Finally, we installed two sturdy concrete footings to anchor everything in place. Our crew cut through asphalt, dug out the holes, hauled away debris, and poured the footings to grade for a solid foundation.
