At New Haven Awning, we’re thrilled to team up with Roli, a brand-new restaurant opening soon in New Haven, CT. We got to show off our Eastern Sunflexx Retractable Awnings skills by designing and installing custom retractable awnings that fit Roli’s sleek look. For Roli’s main seating area, we installed two motorized Eastern Sunflexx retractable awnings, each about 15 feet 6 inches wide with an 8-foot projection. These retractable awnings come with straight valances and a neat hem finish, giving the restaurant’s facade a clean, modern edge. We chose a bronze frame color that matches the building’s brickwork and pairs perfectly with the deep indigo Tempotest fabric. The result is a welcoming shaded spot that guests will love, and staff will appreciate for its easy up-and-down motion.
We also added one larger retractable awning—about 22 feet wide by 8 feet projection—to cover the restaurant’s side patio. This extra-wide retractable awning gives Roli plenty of shade for larger gatherings or weekend brunches. With Eastern Sunflexx’s smooth motorized system, the staff can quickly adjust shade levels without any hassle. And because the Tempotest fabric is fade-resistant, that bold indigo color will stay bright through Connecticut summers.
But we didn’t stop at retractable awnings. We also crafted a shed-style awning with side wings over Roli’s entrance. This awning measures about 8 feet 4 inches wide, with a 4-foot drop and 4-foot projection—just right for a grand welcome. We built it on a galvanized steel frame painted black, so it meets or exceeds the 2022 IBC code for 125 MPH wind loads and 30 PSF snow loads. The same indigo Tempotest fabric ties the look together, giving the entrance a bold statement that stands up to any weather.
